Ideally situated to enjoy the peaceful beauty of the South Coast with the infamous Aliwal Shoal which offers magnificent reefs for scuba diving and especially shark diving on our doorstep. Nearby attractions also include water sports, fishing, golf, hikes, mountain biking, parkruns and swimming beaches in both Scottburgh and Pennington.

Whether you frequent Umkomaas for contract work at SAPPI or you just want to get out of the city for a big blue break, we can help you with a work at the sea office (an office at the sea). Our rooms are fully equipped with that “at home” feeling that offers Fibre and a desk for your convenience.
Sport.
The South Coast of Durban is home to some of the most sort after golf courses in South Africa. So why not experience the BIG4 starting with Umkomaas Golf Club, then Scottburgh Golf Club, Umdoni Golf Club and finishing off at the top dollar Selborne Golf Club.
But if golfing isn’t your thing, and you are more into adventure sports in Durban, Umkomaas is home to Aliwal Shoal, that offers some of the best diving in the Southern Hemisphere including shark diving.

Magan you were on point with your attention to detail. I felt welcome and comfortable even before we arrived. The unit was just perfect for what we needed with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable spacious room and beautiful clean bathroom. Everything was super clean. I loved everything about the place. It is in good location, the set up is excellent and neat.
Most amazing stay. Megan was wonderful and made us feel comfortable from the time we arrived. We even got hot water during load shedding. Such a lovely spot to sit outside and relax during our stay. The room was clean and had everything we needed and more.
This is one for the books.
Very comfortable, it feels like home away from home. Very cozy. My money was Definitely well spent!
